--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 2/2004) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Electric powered wheelchair similar to golf cart. For indoor and outdoor use. Cast aluminum chassis with tubular aluminum chair frame. Pneumatic tires, two front 8 by 16 inch, one rear 4 by 10 inch. Upholstered seat, back and arms. One size seat, 19 inches wide, one removable armrests and folding one piece footboard. Geared transmission. Automatic safety brakes releases when control knob is pressed and set. Direct drive control, 6 speeds. Controls are in armrest; a joystick attached to armrest is used for forward and reverse, and the entire armrest moves right or left for control of turns. Maximum speed is 6 mph. Overall width, 30 inches. Weight without batteries, 180 pounds. Uses two 12 volt batteries.

Notes: Operates on rough terrain. Not recommended for grades over 14 degrees or 25 percent. Medicare covered with qualifications. Specify powered wheelchair.
