eLr (Extra Language Resources) is a language tutorial program designed for use by children or adults with communication or language learning disabilities. Available online or through an offline CD, this program includes more than 10,000 computer/web activities (and always growing) to encourage spontaneous interactive sessions. Free home practice for families is included. Activity targets include phonology, phonological awareness, semantics, sentence processing, literacy, and oral narrative. Activities are suitable for use by speech pathologists, teachers, and parents. Examples include activities that involve naming letters which are easily confused, detecting which word doesn't rhyme, identifying sound-letter links in words, identifying words with the same final consonant blend, finding word patterns or homophones, spelling difficult words, and identifying words with the /ch/ consonant digraph. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows 98/NT/2000/XP/Vista and Microsoft Internet Explorer Browser (IE5/6/7).
