--- DISCONTINUED (Verified 3/2013) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Edmark LessonMaker is a language tutorial program designed to build and enhance vocabulary and oral language development, pre reading concepts and beginning reading skills for individuals with a developmental or physical disability. The lessons created are multisensory with speech, colorful graphics, and touch input with an optional TouchWindow (see separate entry) interaction. Teachers can design individual lesson plans to match the students' interests and knowledge with learning goals. AppleWorks like menus make it easy to modify any part of the lesson design. With the additional support of "digitized" voice, students receive directions, prompt resposes and immediate feedback. Each lesson has built in record keeping and can be set up to scan for single switch input. Edmark LessonMaker can be used for creating original lessons or for customizing any lesson from the SkillBuilder Series (see separate entries). The Package includes: Teacher's Manual; LessonsGraphics Disk, over 75 graphic images; LessonWords Disk, more than 1500 Echo Speech (see separate entry) words; and LessonSample Disk to demonstrate ways to use LessonMaker. COMPATIBILITY: Apple. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple IIc, IIe, IIGS or Macintosh with an Apple IIe Emulation card; 128K; 5.25 inch disk drive (two recommended); Ech Speech Processor; TouchWindow recommended (a scanning switch may be used with lessons created with this program, a special adapter is required. OPTIONS: LessonGraphics & Word Disks offer additional graphics and words to be used with LessonMaker. There are eight disks total for $139.99. They are available separately for $19.95. Titles include: Household Furniture & Tools; People, Family & Holidays; School; Places & Transportation; Food & Eating; Animals; Clothing & Body Parts; Toys & Things.
