Picture of HANDCYCLE ELITE The Handcycle Elite is a hand-propelled recumbent cycle designed for use by individuals with severe physical or lower extremity disabilities or spinal cord injury. The Handcycle Elite features Shimano components, including Dura-Ace Chain Ring, XTR-Shadow Derailleur, XTR RapidFire Shifters, XTR titanium cassette, SRAM Hollow Pin Chain, and Ergo-Lite handgrips. FRAME: The seat frame is (LxW) 16 x 16 inches. The frame, fork leg hanger and clamps are made of magnesium alloy, and it has titanium hardware. SEAT: The seat base is made of carbon fiber. It’s available with welded or adjustable backrest. BRAKES: Avid Juicy Ultimate Carbon and magnesium hydraulic disc brake with Cane Creek parking brake and headset. WHEELS: Custom-designed Spinergy Stealth handcycle wheels with Schwalbe Ultremo-R tires. WEIGHT: 28 pounds. COLOR: Available in a variety of colors. OPTIONS: RacerMate computer trainer ($2495.00) and others. WARRANTY: Lifetime limited warranty on frame.
