(Verified 4/2001) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Interaction, Education & Play+ (IEP+) is a Minspeak Application Program (MAP) and vocabulary tutorial program with prestored vocabulary to allow non-speaking children and young teens to communicate precisely and efficiently. Young children can use IEP+ to construct simple messages and progressively expand their language capabilities. Older children may use IEP+ to communicate effectively at a more complex level. IEP+'s core vocabulary consists of 100 sentences, 200 phrases, and 1000 words, including articles, pronouns, prepositions, and verb tenses. IEP+ features rhymes, riddles, jokes, books, songs, and play dialogues. This MAP also offers young users the opportunity to read an entire book, word for word. IEP+ can be used with the Liberator, and Light Talker or Touch Talker with DECtalk Speech or Smooth Talker.
