(Verified 4/2001) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Words Strategy is a Minspeak Application Program (MAP) with a prestored vocabulary intended for the cognitively intact individual with a strong motivation to engage in interactive, grammatically correct communication. The communication strategy of these individuals is to spell. To facilitate interaction, Words Strategy was developed as a word based vocabulary that allows the user to communicate with precision that approaches spelling, but at a rate that is 3 to 4 times faster. Words Strategy for Touch Talker and Light Talker contains over 2500 words and phrases. The Liberator version has over 4000 words and phrases, including over 900 nouns and 200 verbs. Each verb, adjective, noun, and pronoun has multiple forms to provide tense, comparisons, etc. Most commonly used pronoun phrases are included. The 300 most frequently used words (representing 80% of daily needs) can be accessed with two or fewer activations.
