Stickybear Reading Comprehension is an academic, reading, language and vocabulary tutorial program designed for children from second grade through fourth grade who have cognitive or learning disabilities. The program provides reading comprehension skills practice with multiple levels. The program features more than 30 level-appropriate stories which provide students practice in recognizing the main idea, defining sequence, finding details, using context to identify words, and understanding cause and effect. Teachers can tailor the program for an entire class or an individual student by specifying the starting level and the number of tries to answer questions. Setting the tries at one provides a test mode. The program can be customized and teachers can enter new stories and questions at any time. Students are rewarded with animations featuring the Stickybear family when they answer a set of questions correctly. The report card feature allows teachers to track and assess progress and reports can be printed as needed. All the stories and questions can be printed out for take-home use, as practice sheets, or as test masters. The school versions and above also come with 12 freely reproducible lesson plans and manipulative masters. Available languages are English and Spanish. COMPATIBILITY: Windows or Macintosh.
