HATIS, the Hearing Aid Telephone Interconnect System, is a telecommunication device for the deaf (text telephone or TTY) is designed to allow individuals with up to 93 percent hearing loss to directly benefit from telecommunication directly through their hearing aids. This adapting system will enable hearing aid users to experience voiced sound on landline and cellular phones. The system will work with most in-the-ear and behind-the-ear hearing aids with a T-coil or DIA port.
