MultiPhone works in combination with any alternative or augmentative communication device or computer that can output standard touch tones and digitized or synthesized speech to a speaker or headset. The device is compatible with most speech synthesizers and offers a buzzer signal for incoming calls and an extra telephone jack for extension hookup. When connected to a standard touchtone telephone line, MultiPhone enables the user to obtain a dial tone, dial, speak and listen, disconnect the call, and answer an incoming call. The package includes the MultiPhone unit, an AC adapter, a cable to connect to the external jack of a communication device or a computer, a cable to connect to a telephone wall jack, headphones, and a user's guide. REQUIREMENTS: A communication device that uses DECtalk speech output, a PC with MultiVoice (see separate entry) or DECtalk equivalent, or a Macintosh equipped with software that can simulate telephone tones.
