(Verified 4/2003) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The PROXi Phone is a computer controlled telephone designed for use by individuals with upper extremity disabilities. This system (included in the PROXi Complete and PROXi Complete with Intercom; see separate entry) provides software to create a full-featured speakerphone with a phone book using a computer. This phone can also be integrated into a digital office phone system using an analog terminal adapter. Access can be provided using voice commands, a keyboard, a headmouse, or a single switch. COMPATIBILITY: Versions are available for use on Macintosh or IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: The Macintosh version requires a 68020 processor or better, System 7 or higher, and four megabytes (MB) RAM. The IBM and compatible version requires a 486 or better processor and a minimum of four MB RAM.
