--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 10/2006) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- THE VX-5000 SIP & PUFF PHONE is a cordless home communications system designed to assist persons who do not have use of their hands. Available in three option packages for IBM compatible computers depending on the user's abilities, this communications system features a base unit, a compact cordless transceiver unit that resides with user, and a Sip & Puff headset. The base unit is designed to plug into any existing modular telephone outlet anywhere in the user's home. After the phone number is dialed, the user blows into the tube in order to establish a connection with the dialed number. The system also features 900 MHZ (megahertz) digital communication technology engineered to offer the user clear and crisp communication without static or noise. In addition, privacy is maintained for the user through electronic security codes (65,000) that are designed to prevent any unauthorized eavesdropping. COMPATIBILTY: IBM. POWER: 900 MHZ digital communication; Battery powered transceiver unit. GUARANTEE: Free consultation and no obligation trial period.
