« Previous Product Next Product »The Compact TTY is a pocket-sized telecommunications device for the deaf (TDD or TT). This device folds in half to fit in a purse, pocket, or briefcase so it is completely portable. The unit is equipped with an audio jack that enables the TTY unit to be connected to the cellular phone with the included cable. The unit is compatible with Motorola The unit is compatible with Motorola MicroTAC LITE XL, Motorola MicroTAC LITE II, and the Motorola StarTAC Series, and others. Standard features include an 80-character, 2-line LCD display with backlight; a 57-key, 4-row keyboard with easy-touch keys; the TDD Announcer, which is a voice that alerts hearing people to text telephone calls; and built-in, real-time clock and date functions. The 8k memory allows the user to save and send messages and store phone numbers and TDD conversations. This TDD also has editing capabilities. TELECOMMUNICATIONS: Baudot (TDD standard) code at 45.5 baud; international code at 50 baud; optional ASCII code at either 300 or 110 baud; high/normal sensitivity control. OPTIONS: Available extras include an Option Package (ASCII code and 32k memory, $60) and a soft carrying case ($16.95). POWER: Runs for approximately 7 to 10 hours on the batteries; rechargeable batteries and AC adapter included. DIMENSIONS: 8.8 x 3.9 x 1.2 inches. COLOR: Keyboards come in blue, pink/raspberry, or gray. WARRANTY: One year limited warranty. An extended one or two year warranty is optional..
