« Previous Product Next Product »The VideoTTY, model VC50TTY, is a video display telephone and text telephone (TT) designed for use by individuals with hearing and communication disabilities. Designed to work with readily-available in-home consumer electronics-- a television, a video camera or a camcorder, and a standard TTY (used only to initiate a call)--the system delivers full-color adjustable-quality video, audio, and text over standard phone lines. The system includes a wireless keyboard and an infrared receiver. These items, in combination with the in-home electronics, enable the user to send and receive live video and text which are simultaneously displayed on the television screen, eliminating the need to bend over a standard TTY keyboard and read small displays. Other standard features include auto answer; caller identification; two audio/video inputs; video at up to 15 frames per second with an adjustable frame rate and resolution; electronic pan, tilt, and zoom; onscreen menus; caller identification; compatibility with videophones from other manufacturers; and the capability to take or send still frame pictures. The Deluxe Version, model VC55TTY, offers the same features plus a Web browser to enable users to access information on the World Wide Web and send and receive E-mail. OPTIONS: Digital camera.
