(Verified 3/2004) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Amigo Ulta II is a four-wheeled powered wheelchair alternative designed for indoor or outdoor use with dual front wheel steering. It is intended for use by persons with limited upper body strength or limited use of arms. This scotter is ideal in that it easily dissassembles and can be transported in the trunk of your vehicle. FRAME: The platform is made of aluminum. The wheel base measures 24 inches. Overall length is 37 inches, width is 24 inches. CONTROLS: Operated by a joystick control on an armrest mounted control box. The control box also includes a horn, battery meter, speed control knob. DRIVE: The scooter is rear wheel drive (RWD) with a heavy duty, sealed, lifetime-lubricated UNIPAC drive system. SEAT: The padded, folding seat is adjustable for location and height. The seat swivels 360 degrees, locks in any position, and is removable without tools. Also available is optional power seat lift control for vertical mobility, optional Adapt-a-Seat frame allows customized and modular seating options, and optional electric seat lock control. ARMRESTS: Flip-up armrests. BRAKES: Dynamic electromagnetic and regenerative braking system. WHEELS: Two 8-inch pneumatic rear tires; two 6-inch solid front wheel. POWER: 24-volt electrical system uses two compact 12-volt batteries and an on-board battery charger with retractable reel. The batteries can be removed without tools. SPEEDS: Variable speed forward and reverse. Maximum speed is 3 miles per hour for a range of 16 miles. CAPACITY: Weight capacity is 250 pounds or 113 kilograms. WEIGHT: 150 with batteries; 87 pounds without seat or batteries. WARRANTY: Three years limited.
