Picture of AMIGO EXT The Amigo EXT is a scooter designed for use by individuals with lower extremity disabilities, mobility disabilities, and spinal cord injury. This scooter is designed for larger-framed individuals, 6 feet tall and over. It is similar to the Amigo RD (see separate entry) with a 4-inch longer platform and a 2-inch longer handle. FRAME (HxLxW): 39.5 x 47.8 x 23.5 inches. The steel frame, painted cinnamon red, has a one-piece extended platform and a black rear safety bumper. The turning radius is 38 inches and the underbody ground clearance is 3.5 inches. CONTROLS: ASIC MPC electronic controller. This scooter has a 25-inch adjustable EZ Tilt handle with HI/LO speed controls (TouchTron handle available). RWD: UNIPAC and Vari-Speed drive system with no belts or chains. SEAT: Premier I padded folding seat with 360-degree seat rotation and seat lock. Extended seat lock and power seat lift are optional. ARMRESTS: Flip-up, adjustable, removable arms. FRONT BASKET: Standard. BRAKES: Electromagnetic brakes with manual release. WHEELS: 9-inch solid front tire and 10.5-inch non-tracking, molded, foam-filled rear tires. OPTIONS: Crutch holder; walker holder; oxygen tank holder; and basket cane holder are available. POWER: Uses two 33/35 amp sealed batteries (included). A 24-volt onboard battery charger with retractable alternating current (AC) cord is included. SPEEDS: Up to 5.9 miles per hour with a 35-mile range. CAPACITY: 350 pounds. WEIGHT: 163 pounds with batteries. WARRANTY: Limited lifetime warranty.
