--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 05/2006) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Four-wheel Shuttle is a four-wheeled scooter designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities. FRAME (LxW): 47 x 24 inches. The scooter has a steel frame with anti-tips, an ABS grey plastic body, and disassembles into five pieces for transport. A removable front basket is included. CONTROLS: The control box is mounted on the adjustable tiller and has an on/off switch.RWD: Rear-wheel direct drive transaxle. Custom controls are available. SEAT (WxDxH): 17 x 17 x 17 inches. The padded, height-adjustable fully-rotating bucket seat locks in the forward and rear-facing positions and the seat height from the scooter floor adjusts from 17 to 21 inches. Custom seat dimensions are optional. UPHOLSTERY: Vinyl in blue, gray, or mauve. Fabric upholstery is optional ARMRESTS: Upholstered padded flip-up armrests. BRAKES: Electonic brakes. WHEELS: Four 4 x 10 inch wheels with grey non-marking treaded tires; flat-free tires are optional. OPTIONS: Crutch holders, front and rear baskets, cup holder, taillight, headlight, oxygen holder, rear bumper, and others. POWER: Uses two 12-volt gel/sealed lead acid batteries; the battery charger is included. SPEEDS: Maximum speed 5 miles per hour (60 percent reverse) for a range of 20 miles. CAPACITY: 300 pounds; a special optioin increases the capacity to 400 pounds. WEIGHT: When disassembled, the rear section weighs 49 pounds, the seat weighs 20 pounds and the base and tiller weighs 32 pounds. WARRANTY: Three years on the frame and drive train and one year on electronics; an optional nationwide factory warranty on labor and house calls is available at an extra charge.
