(Verified 03/2012) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. ---The Legend is a three-wheeled scooter or powered wheelchair alternative designed for indoor and outdoor use by people with physical disabilities or limited mobility. This scooter is equipped with a full lighting package and a front basket. FRAME (LxW): 45.375 x 24 inches with a turning radius of 41 inches and a ground clearance of 3.5 inches. The wrap-around heavy-duty steel frame includes anti-tip wheels and disassembles without tools for transport and storage. The features fenders and a covered battery. The body is available in champagne, red, or blue. CONTROLS: Finger-tip controls are located on the tiller with an on/off key with automatic shutoff. RWD: Sealed one-piece rear-wheel drive transaxle. SEAT (WxDxH): 18 x 18 x 20 inches. The padded high-backed seat includes a headrest. The seat swivels 360 degrees and is equipped with sliders. The seat height from the scooter floor adjusts from 17 to 20 inches. UPHOLSTERY: Grey or brown vinyl or fabric. A lap belt and powered elevating seat are available. ARMRESTS: Flip-up, padded armrests are width-adjustable. BRAKES: Electronic disc brakes. WHEELS: 3.5 x 10 inch front wheel and two 4 x 10 inch rear wheels with gray pneumatic tires. Flat-free tires are optional. OPTIONS: Rear basket, dust cover, crutch holders, safety flag, and others. POWER: 24-volt direct current output motor using 2 removable AGM or gel cell batteries. A built-in on-board battery charger is included. SPEEDS: Maximum forward speed of 5.75 miles per hour with a range of 25 miles. The unit includes an electronic speed control. CAPACITY: 350 pounds. WEIGHT: 205 pounds with batteries; 155 pounds without batteries. The heaviest piece when disassembled weighs 61 pounds. WARRANTY: The manufacturer offers a limited three-year warranty.
