(Verified 3/2004) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Regal Ten is a three-wheeled scooter or powered wheelchair designed primarily for outdoor use by adults with physical disabilities or limited mobility. FRAME: Lightweight take-apart aluminum frame with rear anti-tip wheels. The scooter is 48 inches long and 25.5 inches wide with a turning radius of 37 inches. CONTROLS: This scooter features an E-Z Tilt tiller which allows the user to select any of 11 positions from a seated position using a lever located on the tiller just below the handgrips. Finger-tip controls and a horn button are mounted on the control box on the tiller. REAR-WHEEL DRIVE: 24-volt rear-wheel drive with an enclosed gear box. SEAT: A height-adjustable, folding seat with high-resilliency, dual-density foam padding is standard. The seat dimensions (DxWxH) are 16 x 18 x 15 inches. The seat swivels 360 degrees. Brackets to alter the angle of the seat back, a power seat lift, and custom seating are available options. UPHOLSTERY: Fabric is standard and vinyl is optional. Both are available in blue, gray, or wine red. ARMRESTS: Padded flip-up, removable armrests are standard. BRAKES: Dynamic, regenerative electromechanical brakes. WHEELS: Model 65 includes one 10-inch standard front tire and two 10-inch rear turf tires, all with gray pneumatic tires. Model 75 features a standard 10-inch front tire and two rear 10-inch turf tires. OPTIONS: Vinyl-covered front carry-all basket, crutch and cane holder, rear tailer, and others. POWER: Uses 2 12-volt sealed gel-cell batteries (not included). A battery charger is included and a battery-level indicator is located on the control box. SPEEDS: Maximum speed of 5.2 miles per hour with a range of 25 miles and a climbing capacity of 14 degrees or 25 percent. A variable electronic speed dial control is located on the control box. CAPACITY: 300 pounds. WEIGHT: 158 pounds with batteries. WARRANTY: The manufacturer warrants the scooter to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one year under normal use and service.
