The programs also develop and expands vocabulary, and fosters creative writing at all grade levels. The programs use a strategy called "semantic networking" to help students comprehend how reading selections for narration and prose selections are organized. PROGRAM COMPONENTS: The programs are arranged in kits by reading level. Kits for narration programs containing a teacher's advanced organizer card, a reading selection card, a word challenge card, a creative writer instruction card, a creative writer network card, a student file list card, and an authors appprentice network card. The theme kits contain an author's apprendice folder and an Accu-Facts card. Kits for both the narration and theme programs contain 1 diskette, 1 back-up, and accompanying printed materials. Narration disks are available in 5 levels (2-6), and Theme disks are available in 7 levels (3-9). COMPATIBILITY: For use on Apple II series (64K) computers.
Notes: Lab packs with 6 copies of each diskette and accompanying printed materials are also available for both the theme and narration programs for $209.
