Tell A Tale is a story writing program designed for use by children with cognitive or learning disabilities. This program encourages children to write their own three-sentence stories using the 100 combination offered by the software. Each story has an opening, a setting, an actor, and action, all illustrated with animation. The program also offers clear narration in male or female voices, highlighted text, and an interface simple enough for early learners. Full teacher controls and three levels of difficulty permit differential instruction. Other features include print and playback story options, as well as a set of printable worksheets for work away from the computer. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers with or without a network or Macintosh Power PC. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows 95 or higher, 16 megabytes (MB) RAM, SVGA graphics, 4X speed CD-ROM, and a sound card. The program is compatible with Windows XP Home or Professional Editions. The Mac Power PC requires Operating System 8.1 or higher, 4X speed CD-ROM, and 32 MB RAM.
