The time is spoken in a clear female voice when the user presses the time announcement button located on the top, or the time can be spoken automatically every hour. Other features include High/Low announcement volume; three alarm sound options (beep, cuckoo, or rooster); snooze function; and a digital display with backlight. POWER: Uses two AA batteries (not included). DIMENSIONS: 3.75 x 3.18 x 3.18 inches. COLOR: Silver case; green backlit display.
