(Verified 11/2009) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Tactile Train, model G5070, is a tactile discrimination and visual training activity designed for use by children with visual disabilities. The wooden board is printed with a colorful train. Each of the train's windows and wheels offer a space with a specific texture; the accompanying knobs fit in the spaces and textures on either end of each knob correspond to those on the board. This game invites children to explore and discriminate between ten different textures, ranging from sandpaper rough to velvet softness. DIMENSIONS: The board is 13.75 x 4.25 x 2.25 inches.
