(Verified 06/2012) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. ---The Rx 2001 Wheelchair is an adult rocking wheelchair designed for use by individuals with lower extremity disabilities, mobility disabilities, and spinal cord injury. FRAME: Model Rx2001 R has a rigid frame with bolt-in-place cross members, and model Rx2001 F has a folding frame. Both have adjustable height, swing up anti-tips. The frame is 40 inches high x 26 inches wide unfolded; model Rx2001 F is 13 inches wide when folded. An optional Rock Stop accessory can be adjusted from full rock to a very small rock. The standard frame color is black, with red or green available as options. Custom color chairs, with base and seat rails colored to complement the standard black and silver components, are available. SEAT (LxW): The seat is 16 x 16 or 18 inches wide on model Rx2001 R and 16 x 18 inches on model Rx2001 F. These chairs have a seat release and locking mechanism that allows the user to rock or lock into any position by turning a lever, with leaf springs to maximize the rocking motion. The reinforced rigid back is removable. An elevated head rest is optional. ARMRESTS: Swing-away detachable armrests. WHEELS: Anti-tip attached wheels. Main wheel solid axles are standard and quick-release axles are available as on option. The standard chair base has both a high and low axle mount location. FOOTRESTS: Swing-away detachable footrests. Options incude a left or right elevated leg rest, an upper footrest mount, a footrest extension, and 70-degree footrests. WEIGHT: 49 pounds (not folded) and 25 to 29 pounds (folded).
