--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 9/2003) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Encore Plus is a tilt in space wheelchair designed for heavier individuals with mobility disabilities. FRAME: 90 degree titanium tilt in space frame. Adjustable kick-up anti-tippers are standard. The frame is available in a choice of seven standard colors or natural finish titanium resulting in lower price. The standard frame is available in a non-adjustable width of 16 to 20 inches and a depth of 16 to 20 inches. For an additional cost, the width and depth can be ordered in larger sizes not to exceed 26 inches. SEAT: A 30 degree angle adjustable back is standard. Options for the are reclining back and power assisted tilt back. Solid insert seat and back are optional and comes with 1 inch medium density foam or the option of 2 inch foam. Hardware is included. Seat/back snap hardware is also available separately. CUSHION: Cushions for the back and seat are made of Sunmate foam in soft or medium with a .5 or 1 inch thickness. UPHOLSTERY: Standard upholstery comes in a choice of non-abrasive nylon or vinyl. The nylon offers a choice of 14 colors while vinyl comes in a choice of 11 colors. For an additional cost upholstery stripes on the seat and/or back are available. Sling upholstrey is available as an option for the rigid and folding frame. ARMRESTS: Standard is heavy duty angle adjustable armrests with armpads. Choice of full or desk length armpads. Options are Height adjustable and angle adjustable armrests. Armrest pads, locks and sideguards are also available at an additional cost. CASTERS: Standard are 8 x 2 inch semi-solid core front casters. WHEELS: Standard 24 x 2 mag wheels and flat free tubes. Options include vinyl coated , chrome, or projection handrims. Also available is one arm or front wheel drive. FOOTRESTS: Choice of 70 degree detachable or 1 piece detachable footboard. Standard footrest is one piece, flip-up footrest. OPtions include special footplates, elevating leg rests heel loops, toe straps, ankle straps, and calf panels with 1/2" medium density foam. OPTIONS: Seat belts, trays, book bag, head supports, trunk supports, lumbar pad, hip guides, and others. CAPACITY: 500 pound weight limit.
