--- DISCONTINUED (Verified 7/2000) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Laser Tilt-in-Space is a child's wheelchair designed to grow as the user does. FRAME: The folding frame is constructed of 6061-T6 drawn aluminum tubing and features a telescoping crossbrace which allows the width of the chair to be expanded up to 4 inches. Rear anti-tippers and adjustable-angle push handles are included. The frame has an electrostatic powder coat finish available in a choice of 14 colors. SEAT: The detachable seating module has tilt-in-space capability with 50 degree variable tilt rotation and includes a floor stand which allows the seat to be used apart from the wheelchair frame. A non-tilt option is available on this chair. The seat is available in 12, 14, or 16 inch widths. Seat depths range from 10 to 16 inches in 1 inch increments and back heights range from 12 to 18 inches in 1 inch increments. Custom seat dimensions are also available. CUSHION: One-inch medium density foam seat and back cushions are included. UPHOLSTERY: Color coordinated Cordura cloth is standard; optional colors and fabrics are available. ARMRESTS: Rear pivoting, height- and angle-adjustable armrests are standard. BRAKES: Push to contact wheel locks are standard. Pull to contact wheel locks are available at no charge. CASTERS: 5 or 6 inch diameter poly casters are standard; 3, 4, or 7.5-inch poly casters are available at no charge and 6 or 8-inch pneumatic casters are available at an extra charge. WHEELS: The chair comes standard with height-adjustable axle plates and spoked wheels 20 or 24 inches in diameter. 16, 20, and 24-inch mag wheels are available at no charge. Pneumatic tires are standard; solid tires for 24 inch wheels are offered at no charge. Semi-pneumatic super tires for 20, 22, and 24-inch wheels and Kevlar belted pneumatic tires for 24-inch wheels are available as extra-cost options. FOOTRESTS: Quick-release, adjustable legrests with angle- adjustable foot paddles and figure-eight straps are standard. A foot platform is available. OPTIONS: Push rims, head support, hip supports, lateral trunk supports, stroller handles, trays, and others. CAPACITY: 150 pounds. WARRANTY: The frame and crossbrace are warranted for 5 years; components other than normal wear items are warranted for 1 year.
