The Orbit Tilt-In-Space Wheelchair is a child tilt-in-space wheelchair designed to meet a variety of positioning needs. FRAME: Modular lightweight frame designed to accommodates a child's growth. The frame expands from 10 x 10 inches to 16 x 16 inches in one-inch increments. The chair disassembles for storage and transport. SEAT: Detachable seat. The seat is interchangeable with others in the line, allowing for seats to be changed with growth or with change in need. The seat height is adjustable at the point where the seat attaches to the base. The adjustable axle plate allows further height adjustment in .25-inch increments. TILT IN SPACE: The tilt-in-space mechanism is contained in the wheelchair base, allowing for detachment of the seat without requiring cables to be disengaged. Activated with a foot lever, the tilt mechanism offers a full 55-degree tilt range with 45 degrees of posterior tilt and 10 degrees of posterior tilt. ARMRESTS: A choice of a cantilever arm that adjusts from 9 to 14 inches long or a T-arm that adjusts in .5-inch increments from six to 10 inches is standard. BRAKES: Wheel locks are standard. CASTERS: Front casters are standard. WHEELS: Rear mag wheels are standard. FOOTRESTS: 60-, 70-, and 90-degree front riggings and elevating legrests are available. Angle adjustable footplates are standard. WEIGHT: The base weighs 15 to 18 pounds without the seat.
