There are four open-ended programs that are versatile and eady to use. They are: History in the Making, a broad range of timely stories from the fiftieth anniversary of World War II to Hurricane Andrew to Walt Disney and Dr. Suess; Sports covers everything from superstars to sports facts; Geography takes you on trips to the North Pole, the ocean floor, caves, the Panama Canal and more; Science teaches about inventions, biology, fossils, animals, plants, etc. Children will learn and practice important reading skills including recognizing main ideas and sequence, finding details, using context to identify words, recognizing cause and effect, and more. Students automatically advance as to higher difficulty levels as they succeed, and parents and teachers can tailor the program to meet the child's needs. COMPATIBILITY: Macintosh or Windows. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Macintosh: Color Mac with hard drive; System 6.0.7 or later; 2MB RAM for System 6.07, 4Mb RAM for System 7; approximately 5 Mb of free space on your hard disk per program. Windows: Hard drive, mouse, and 486SX 25MHz minimum; super VGA display with 256 color mode; windows 3.1 or later; 4 mb RAM; 6.8 Mb of free disk space per program; a windows compatible sound card.
