Picture of SNOWPOD The Snowpod is a snow and ice sled designed for use by individuals with lower extremity or mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury. This arm-powered sled has a bicycle chain drive with snowmobile tracks instead of wheels, and a 49-speed 7 x 7 gearbox with independent track drives (forward and reverse). It can climb 45-degree slopes on glaciated mountains such as Mt. Hood and Mt. Rainier in the Pacific Northwest. SPEEDS: 100 horizontal feet per minute. WEIGHT: 45 pounds.
