TalkItTypeIt2 is a voice input program designed for use by individuals who are blind or have repetitive strain injury, upper extremity disabilities, spinal cord injury, or upper extremity amputation. Using the Microsoft 6.1 Speech Recognition Engine, this program allows the user to dictate directly into virtually any Windows application, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other email clients, AOL Chat and other instant messaging programs, Corel Word Perfect, and OpenOffice. Text can be dictated at a rate of up to 150 words per minute. The program has a built-in 60,000 word vocabulary and the ability to add new words such as names or technical terms. User created voice profiles can be imported and exported. The program supports American English and U.K. English. The programs comes on a CD with a headset. The software comes in Standard, Deluxe, and Ultra editions. In addition to voice input dictation, the Deluxe and Ulta editions includes the ability to create macro commands and the ability to transcribe directly from digital recordings. The Ultra edition also includes the ability to navigate directly by voice to any clickable object on a computer screen. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: For the Stansard Edition, Intel Pentium III/500 MegaHertz (MHz) processor (or equivalent AMD processor); 128 megabytes (MB) RAM; 400 MB free hard disk space; Microsoft Windows XP/Millennium/2000/98/NT 4.0 (with service pack 6); Creative Labs Sound Blaster 16 or equivalent sound card; Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher; CD-ROM drive; and headset microphone.
