The system offers a hands-free mouse alternative for navigating a computer using natural head or finger movement. The system provides cursor control by tracking a removable, reflective dot placed on the forehead, eyeglasses, hat or finger. A tracking device placed on the monitor uses infrared light to lock on to the reflective dot. Turning the head or aiming the finger causes the cursor to follow in real time. SmartNAV3 AT also includes a virtual (on-screen) keyboard, dwell clicking, and optional hand or foot switch input. Other features include user-defined scaling and smoothing settings, user-defined speed and smoothing settings, and the ability to create and save multiple user profiles. The package includes one SmartNAV3 unit, 26 reflective dots, two rings, installation software with electronic user’s manual, dwell clicking software, mounting clip, a Y breakout cable for switch input, and a quick-start guide. The SmartNAV3 EG does not offer dwell clicking or the virtual keyboard and includes a SmartNAV3 unit, 26 reflective dots, two rings, installation software with electronic user’s manual, a Y breakout cable for switch input, mounting clip, and a quick-start guide.
