MultiWeb is a voice output, large print, switch-accessible web browser designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision or physical disabilities. The program includes a speech engine, text enlargement, and scanning for switch devices. It has multiple interfaces specifically designed to work with a variety of input devices, including mouse, keyboard, switch, and touch screen. Each interface can be set up with a number of different options including large print, text highlighting, small buttons, speech synthesis, talking buttons, and a variety of colors and fonts. The settings chosen for the interface are inherited by all Windows displayed within the application. For example, if a user were to select the Switch Device Interface with the option of speech synthesis then Windows, such as File Save, would also have switching and speech. COMPATIBILITY: For use with IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: 486/33 megahertz (MHz) or faster processor; hard disk with at least 5 megabytes (MB) of free space for MultiWeb, and an additional 5 MB for viewing Internet documents; at least 8 MB of random access memory (RAM); Windows 3.1 or higher operating system; sound card (required for speech synthesis); printer; access to the Internet.
