(Verified 06/2007) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Footcursor: Basic Version, model IOFM0827, is a foot-operated mouse designed for use by individuals with limited upper extremity mobility, upper extremity disabilities, repetitive stress injuries, or cumulative stress disabilities. Usable with either foot, this device enables the user to perform cursor movement with a foot. The Footcursor Basic Version consists of a square plate and a moveable round plate sits on top of the square surface. An embedded microchip detects movement of the user's foot on the the round plate and translates it to the cursor's movement on the computer monitor. For example, when the round plate is moved to the right, the cursor moves to the right, and when the round plate is moved toward the user's back, the cursor moves down. This device does not activate mouse clicks; an external switch or other device (not included) must be connected to the Footcursor port. Users can also have a hand mouse operating at the same time. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows 2000 or XP with SP1 or SP2 and a USB port or USB-to-PS2 Converter. When used with Windows XP, the Footcursor: Basic Version is a Plug and Play device. DIMENSIONS: The square plate is 10.5 x 10.5 inches and the round plate is 4 inches in diameter. WEIGHT: 4 pounds. WARRANTY: The Footcursor Basic Version includes a 90-day warranty. One-year and two-year warranties can be purchased from I/O Test, Inc.
