Picture of MEDALARM Medalarm is a medication reminder and compliance tracking device designed for persons with low vision. The device may also be used by others who need to be reminded to take medications. Medalarm was developed as a reminder and tracking device for use with eyedrops, but it can also be used with other medications. It is a portable, reusable, reprogrammable device that fits in a pocket or purse. It attaches simply yet firmly to the medication bottle. Medalarm calculates dosage and alarm times based on input of start and stop times and the number of doses. Users cannot program individual alarm times, but can program different alarm times for the weekend or various days of the week. A pencil is used to operate keys for programing. The alarm is loud and easy to hear. When it sounds, the user presses the enter button for two seconds to stop the alarm and update the compliance score ("tracker"). The compliance score can be read by the user, a caregiver, or by a doctor. POWER: Uses batteries (included). DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 0.5 x 2.25 x 1 inches. WARRANTY: One year.
