The Explorer 15-Inch PC Compatible Color System, model MSE-C15-P, is a video magnifier designed for use by individuals with low vision. This system enables users to work alternately with both CCTV and computer applications, in order to read printouts, documents, and letters; write checks, memos, and correspondence; and view charts, graphs, photos, or maps. The system includes a viewing tray, a camera, and an SVGA computer monitor. To use the system with a personal computer or PC (not included), the user connects the computer and the SVGA monitor to the back of the camera. The magnification range is from five to 51 times. A foot switch is used to alternate between the full screen computer and camera images. The monitor can be viewed above the viewing tray (in-line configuration) or side by side. The camera has manual focus. Other features include margin/brake stops and knob and rocker controls. OPTIONS: Select-A-Color (Multi-Monochrome); Line Marking/Windowing; modified system with SVGA computer monitor but without PC compatibility. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 27 x 17 x 16 inches. The monitor is 15 inches. The viewing (X/Y) table is 14 x 14 inches. WEIGHT: 61 pounds.
