Picture of MAKROLUX BRIGHT FIELD MAGNIFIER (MODEL 1436-1) The Makrolux Bright Field Magnifier, model 1436-1, is an illuminated magnifier designed for use by individuals with low vision. This magnifier provides 2.2x magnification that is distortion-free from edge to edge, and uniformly illuminated by a bright LED. The lens has a forward tilted angle that supports a comfortable reading position, and the width of the rectangular reading area covers the column width of many newspapers and magazines. Ridges on the bottom keep the aspheric lens one millimeter off the reading surface to prevent scratches. The lens is made from PXM with cera-tec coating and a matte edge mount. The included carrying bag is made of soft material that can also be used as cleaning cloth. POWER: Uses three double-A batteries (included). DIMENSIONS (LxW): Viewing area is 90 x 30 millimeters.
