The Relume LED Pedestrian Signal is a voice output and vibrating pedestrian signal system designed for use by pedestrians who are blind or have low vision. This pedestrian signal provides voice and vibrating output through the Vibro-Tactile Orientation and Mobility Unit, a remote receiver carried by individual pedestrians. The signal features a light emitting diode (LED) display with pulse mode operation. A walking figure represents "walk" and a hand represents "don't walk." The display is dimmed at night to reduce glare. POWER: Uses 120 volts alternating current (AC). OPTIONS: Single display or dual display. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): Single display is 17 x 2.5 x 17 inches, and dual displays are 12 x 2.5 x 12 inches. COLOR: LED display is orange and blue or white. WARRANTY: Four years from date of purchase.
Notes: The manufacturer states that this product conforms to applicable proposed (1998) Institute of Traffic Engineers (ITE) specifications and is operable under U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) experimental testing mandates.
