Picture of BRAILLE TRANSCRIBER'S KIT: MATH (MODEL 1-01400-00) The Braille Transcriber's Kit: Math, model 1-04100-00, is tactile graphics set for math designed to be used by teachers of students who are blind and by transcribers of braille mathematics texts. It is a collection of embossed drawings of figures frequently occurring in elementary math textbooks, enabling transcribers to create braille math texts more quickly and easily. The master sheets included in this tactile graphics set contain five each of the following raised-line drawings: rulers, number lines, protractors, unlabeled thermometers, labeled thermometers, clock faces, 0.5-inch grids, 5/8-inch grids, and 0.75-inch grids. Also included is a page in print giving the details of each embossed sheet. The embossed master sheets can be thermoformed by teachers to provide multiple copies of figures. DIMENSIONS (HxW): Master sheets are 11.5 x 11 inches. COLOR: The figures are embossed on white braille paper.
