The Stanford Achievement Test Braille and Large Type Editions are braille and large print assessment evaluation tests designed for use by teachers for the assessment of students who are blind or have low vision. These are braille and large print versions of the Stanford Achievement Test, Form 5, Ninth Edition, 1996, which is designed to measure student performance in the areas of reading, spelling, study skills, language, mathematics, science, social science, and listening skills. Braille and large print tests are available at ten levels recommended for use in grades 2 through 12: Primary 2 and 3; Intermediate 1, 2, and 3; Advanced 1 and 2; and TASK 1, 2, and 3. Supplemental directions for administering the braille and large print tests are required at each of the ten test levels, and must be purchased in addition to the test. A copy of the regular print test and directions for its administration are included with the supplemental directions.

Notes: These braille and large editions of the Stanford Achievement Test have been published with the permission of The Psychological Corporation/Harcourt Educational Measurement, the publisher of the regular print edition. ** The first three levels of the Stanford Achievement Test, SESAT 1 and 2 and Primary 1, were not adapted for braille and large type due to their highly pictorial content.
