« Previous Product Next Product »eMonocle is a large print program designed for use by individuals with low vision. It is designed to read the Open eBook (OeB) file type and other XML file types. Users can increase the text font size up to 144 points, and increase the font size of menu items up to 36 points. Additionally, users can increase the size of graphics within a document, and enlarge online forms. After the user selects a font size, the program dynamically adjusts column sizes to maximize the reading space available on the viewerÆs display device. Users can also change the background color or contrast settings. Pages can be turned by clicking a mouse rather than scrolling through text. If the e-book publisher allows printing, users can customize the font size of their printed content from four points to 144 points. COMPATIBILITY: For use on Apple Macintosh and IBM or compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: For Windows 95/98/NT operating system,a 166 megahertz (MHz) processor or faster, 32 megabytes (MB) of random access memory (RAM) with 48 MB recommended, and 225 MB free hard disk space are required. For Windows 2000 operating system, a Pentium II or compatible 300 MHz processor, 64 MB memory, and 225 MB of free hard disk space are required. For Linux operating system, requirements are comparable to those for Windows 95/98/NT, except that 55 MB free hard disk space is needed, along with Linux x86 kernel v2.2.12 or later, and Libraries glibc v2.1.2-11 or later. For Macintosh, 128 MB memory and OS X are required.
