RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Stove Guard Pro is a stove safety sensor designed for use by individuals with cognitive or memory disabilities or Alzheimer’s disease. The system includes a sensor control unit that monitors the stove’s use and a power box that controls power to the stove. This device is designed to allow users to easily change settings, while thwarting a user’s "button pusher" attempts to disable the device. The device can be set to the user’s particular needs and then password locked. The password can be changed from the factory default to a personal password. Settings cannot be changed while the device is password locked and a stove lock feature can also be set, disabling power to the stove. Major features include a fail-safe operating feature, relay-out feature, auto-on, and power failure recovery. Other features include red blinking Off LED, green LEDs, auto mode with 15 minute maximum time limit setting, and timer mode with longer countdown time of seven cooking hours when necessary. The Stove Guard Pro will remember its previous setting and password-locked state so that it will not have to be reset in the case of a power failure. The device is available in electric stove or cook top configurations. DIMEMSIONS(HxLxW): Power box is 11 x 5.5 x 2.5 inches. EMU is 9.75 x 2.25 x 2.25 inches.
