(Verified 03/2009) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Magnavox MobilePal is an emergency alarm and emergency alert system with monitoring service designed for use by seniors or individuals with disabilities who are at risk for falls or sudden medical emergencies. The handset has a single large button for wireless connection to a service operator. A second button activates a 95-decibel alarm. These two buttons are located where most users' fingers grip the unit. A signal test button allows the user to verify that the reguired analog cellular service is available. OPTIONS: Medical Data Link service to store personal medical information (prescriptions, allergies, conditions) and communicate it to emergency personnel if needed; Personal Fall Detection to automatically sense a fall and notify a Personal Assistant. POWER: Uses four triple-A alkaline batteries.
