The RoamAlert Wander Prevention System is a wandering patient system designed for use by nursing homes and other facilities with residents with Alzheimer's disease or other cognitive disabilities. The system include radio transmitters worn by residents, sensors and controllers at doors and/or elevators, tracking software, and alarms. A small, lightweight Securaband tag hold the transmitter and is attached to the residents' wrist or ankle. An ECO Door Controller installed at the exit senses when a resident approaches and automatically locks the door. If the door is already open an alarm sounds. Any number of facility exits can be outfitted with controllers and alarms, including elevators to prevent residents from moving from one floor to another. Software creates detailed logs showing what time the exit alarm occurred and which staff member assisted. OPTIONS: RoamAlert ECO Door Controller with Keypad or RoamAlert ECO Door Controller with Surface Mount Antenna; Tag ID Display showing ID numbers of 5 most recent residents to set off alarm at door; Pocket Tag Reader for configuring tags, checking batteries, and analyzing system parameters; Select Sound Module providing auxiliary or remote alarm.
