Fluency Formula is a reading tutorial program designed for use by children with learning disabilities. This supplemental program combines fluency instruction, practice, and assessment to bridge the gap between word recognition and comprehension. Six grade-level kits are available for grades 1 through 6. Components include a Professional Guide with weekly instructional plans, a Read Aloud Anthology with teacher modeling of fluency strategies, student workbooks with extended independent and at-home practice, Fluency Activity Cards with ideas for learning center and small-group work, Leveled Passage Reproducibles for extra reading practice, a Fluency FlipChart to reinforce foundational phonics and sight word skills, a resource book (Building Fluency, by Wiley Blevins), an Assessment Handbook with three Benchmark Passages for beginning/middle/end-of-year assessment of all students, and 24 Progress Monitoring Passages for weekly assessment of struggling readers, two Student Timers; Student Progress Charts, and a Fluency Formula Library. Each library includes 24 leveled Fluency books, with four copies of each title and six CDs with four titles per CD (only included when the library is purchased with Audio CDs). OPTIONS: Assessment system and Fluency Formula Library may be purchased separately.
