The AMTI Multiaxis Force Platform, model OR6-7, is a gait and balance analysis system designed for use in gait or balance assessment. The system consists of a platform with an aluminum top plate and strain gauge bridge sensing elements. The platform uses a coordinate system with the z axis oriented downward, the y axis oriented away from the connector, and the x axis oriented to the left. The platform provides six analog outputs corresponding to the three orthogonal forces and the three orthogonal moments acting on the platform's top surface in the x, y, and z axes. Multiple force platforms can be staggered in a traditional walkway arrangement spaced to accommodate the stride of a wide range of children and adults. An amplifier (not included) is required to provide digital output for a computer. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 3.25 x 20 x 18.25 inches. CAPACITY: Load capacity is 500 pounds along the x and y axes, and 1,000 pounds along the z (vertical) axis. WEIGHT: 70 pounds.
Notes: The manufacturer states that during gait, loads on the z axis can be on the order of 140 percent of body weight, so body weight capacity is lower than the stated load capacity.
Price: Contact manufacturer.
