--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 03/2009) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The HITCHhiker is a hitch-mounted wheelchair and scooter ramp for vans and sport utility vehicles (SUVs). The HITCHhiker fastens to the rear of a vehicle by attaching the adjustable hitch mount bracket 1.25-inch (Class 2) or 2-inch (Class 3) hitch receivers on most vans and SUVs equipped with a rear hatch or side-hinged door. When not in use, the ramp folds to stand vertically behind the vehicle’s rear door, and a spring-assisted mechanism allows the ramp to unfold and fold with minimum effort on the part of the user. The HITCHhiker is made of welded aluminum with a non-skid material on driving surface and safety reflectors on the side rails. A lighted license plate kit is included. DIMENSIONS (LxW): 96 x 32 inches extended; 49.5 x 36 folded. CAPACITY: 800 pounds. WEIGHT: 110 pounds. WARRANTY: 3-year limited warranty.
