(Verified 11/2011) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. ---The Froomsplint Walker Attachment Plate is a platform hand support for a walker designed for use by individuals with neurological disabilities or who have had strokes. This device provides a station for the hand of an individual with spasticity and helps control the walker and the effected hand and arm. Soft cloth-covered hook-and-loop straps cradle and stabilize the user's wrist and hand. The Froomsplint (not included; see entry) can either be attached to the walker directly or a quick release attachment plate for one-inch tubing can be used. This allows the user to transfer from the walker to a wheelchair or to other Froomsplint devices and equipment (not included; see entry) or to wear the splint when resting.
