« Previous Product--- DISCONTINUED. (verified 11/95) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR RECORDS. --- Emergency evacuation device for total evacuation of hospital, nursing home, or commercial buildings. Utilizes tubular slide constructed of high strength fabric. Capable of withstanding temperatures as low as negative 150 degrees and as high as 1500 degrees F. Evacuees control speed of descent by pushing out on the side of the slide with arms, hands and legs. Recommended that person on ground control speed of descent by twisting or untwisting evacuation slide. Deployment of system is immediate. Descent takes between 5 and 7 seconds for a 3 or 4 story building. Evacuees shielded from flames, smoke and gases during descent. Notes: For evacuees with no control of legs, it is recommended that legs be tied or taped together at ankles and knees.
