--- DISCONTINUED. RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Electrically operated wheelchair restraint for van drivers which is welded into wheelwell openings cut into the van floor. Operation of the restraint lowers the rear wheels of the wheelchair into 4 inch deep wheelwells so the driver is in a better driving position. Power operated levers engage steel cross bars attached to the wheelchair. Seat belt forces are transmitted directly through the restraint system to the restraint unit that is welded to the floor.
