The Electric Holdown, model 128, is wheelchair restraint system that may be installed for the driver or passenger wheelchair position. (Installation depends on the underside of the van.) The holdown consists of two pieces: one piece hooks to the wheelchair frame behind the casters, and the second mounts into the floor of the van. The floor mounted piece clamps onto the piece attached to the chair. The control switch mounts to the vehicle's dashboard or the most convenient position for the operator. The restraint lowers to secure the wheelchair and raises to release the chair.
