GoBible Voyager is a recorded book and voice output recorded book player designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This handheld, portable unit is preloaded with an audio version of the entire Christian Bible, with 3 gigabytes (GB) of space available for additional content (approximately 750 songs or over 100 hours of audio books). An interactive on-screen menu with voice output enables the user to scroll through the Old and New Testaments, select the book, chapter and verse, and begin play. Text appears on screen as it is read. The unit is available preloaded with either the King James Version read by Alexander Scourby, the New International Version read by Charles Taylor, or the Word Of Promise (dramatized NKJV). The Bible is indexed to each of over 31,000 Bible verses, so the user can begin play, repeat, or bookmark any individual verse. Other indexing features include a story index of 230 of the most popular Bible stories ; a topic index of approximately 30 different emotions and circumstances; a holiday/events index of over a dozen key days and moments; and a bookmark cache of 36 bookmarks. The unit has a universal headphone jack that allows the user to listen with the included ergonomic headphones or with computer speakers, iPod speakers or any MP3 speaker. The handheld unit comes with a carrying case, headphones, and a USB cord for downloading content from a computer. POWER: Uses 1 li-ion rechargeable AAA battery. A battery and a wall charger are included. DIMENSIONS (HxLxD): 3.5 x 2.5 x 0.5 inches. The screen measures 2.4 inches diagonally. WEIGHT: 3.2 ounces.
